- The HD is awesome, everything looks so much smoother. Sure, the characters are still pixely h - Its exactly the same! :D (besides a few minor things) - Couple of new backgrounds
- No more unlocking characters :(. They are all available at the start of the game now which kinda takes away part of the replayability. - "I`m gonna take you for a ride" is still in there. It drives me mad after a while >:(
Not much to say really, one of the best games of all time is just as good now as it ever was really :D
I cant survive with shitty laptop speakers 'cause that's just no way to enjoy music and its not how i roll :p. So, when im in Japan im gonna need some kind of system to enjoy my music. This now gives me the excuse to buy one of these babys. No longer a prototype, the Lasonic i931 is an Ipod, SD and USB capable boombox which retails for around 30,200 yen. Looks just like it came out of the 80s and even has all the shitty knobs and pointless colours/lights all over it. Like holding a disco over your shoulder!! :D
Dimensions: 25.5"w, 14.5"h, 6.5"d
Includes: Boom box iPod dock adaptor power cable remote control
Specifications: -Supported USB flash disk and SD/MMC card to playback MP3 files -iPod control and charging -Good reception Tuner function (AM/FM/RBDS) -20 preset AM and FM stations -LCD display -Alarm and sleep function -Accurate real time clock display -Separate bass and treble controls -Powerful speaker sound system (12W x 2) -EQ adjustment -Volume level indicator -AUX IN for extension function -Headphone jack output -Microphone input and volume/echo adjustment -Full function remote control -Uses AC power or 10 D batteries for operation -iPod is not included

whats next? Ipod walkmans?........ All i need now is a pair of Wayfarers and im good BD
No i`m not quite there yet but i was trying to research if Yokohama has a basketball team. So far, no such luck. However, i did find that the university has a team curiously named BabySatan. I look forward to seeing them sacrifice a goat at half time play in the near future?
Iron Man 2 will weave into the Thor and Captain America movies
Emphasis on making all of the Avengers` solo movies a success so that people will care about the entire team
Another Hulk movie could only happen after the Avengers movie
After 2010, Marvel will try again to release two feature films per year, as originally planned. This schedule was originally spoiled by the writers` strike
Norton coming back to play Hulk in an Avengers movie is only a maybe. Seems there would be difficulty trying to lure him back :(
Kevin Feige expressed interest in moving into the cosmic side of the Marvel universe too. (Imagine how epic an Annihilation movie would be? :O )
Captain America - serious prep work taking place in October, casting choices announced in the next few months
Feige from an io9 interview:
I think we know. I think it’s going to be Iron Man and Thor, Captain America and Nick Fury. I think it’s safe to assume that there will be some members of the Hulk universe in the film as well. In terms of the additional I think Black Widow, sure. The SHIELD organization for sure. What’s exciting, for me, about movie is seeing those four characters interact with each other. I think anywhere from the first issues of The Avengers to Civil War the dynamic between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark is just awesome, it’s fascinating. It brings out sides in others that won’t be brought out in the other franchises. Going forward with the mix is a whole other thing, I think it will be cool. So to pile on another 15 or 10, frankly more than four would be too many.”
You know what that says to me? That says that we are getting the "Ultimates" avengers movie. I couldn`t be happier. That book changed my opinion a lot about Marvel and it is honestly the best book they could have chosen to base it off. In addition to this, i think they are making the right choice by sticking to just four members of the team. Too many cooks and all that.....
WrongWroks (WW) is on an international level, selling tees, art & more in stores worldwide. I had to blog about this brand because i have never seen Doraemon get love like this before. They have various designs out now with variations twisting Spongebob characters & Doraemon together as well as some cute models to show them off. Their site has sooo much stuff to look through (interviews, exhibitions etc) as well as an extensive list of international dealers that sell their goods.
And who cares that he got dunked on? Its not like it was a balls-in-your-face encounter and you know he`s still the King :p
This drawing actually took me a loooooong time but im very proud of the pose because i drew it without looking at any other pictures for reference :) I spent most of the time though, looking for detailed pics of Lebrons tattoos because i really wanted to get them accurate and detailed but couldnt seem to find any that were good enough and so his left arm looks a bit botched.
I think that colourways are a good thing. It adds a greater variety of colours to a design that might not have stood out so much the first time but has been changed quite simply. Just changing the colours in a drawing can have a really big impact, thats why a lot of my drawings these days are in black and white because i think that black and white can be dynamic too.
However, its not good when companies release one design as a bunch of different colourways, offer no other designs and then charge you a bomb for it. Here is an example with "Head Porter Plus"..... You might be surprised to hear that this is actually some kind of collaboration! to be precise, a Head Porter Plus X Fragment Design collaboration. Not only is this a collaboration between 2 groups, the SAME guy owns BOTH groups! Thats like John J Freeze collaborating with John J. McDonough :s SMH. Well in this case, HPP is the retail store and FD is the design group (but dont forget, same guy). The logo, its nice. Its relation to price however......
The tees are retailing for 6,825 YEN each!! ($72 or £43)
Thats insane! im sure the people who can afford these tees would rather wear something a bit smarter than a t shirt! Actually, if you went to a hotel today and found their "Head Porter" im sure he certainly cant afford prices like this :p
I cant say that im so impressed by Fragment Designs works but hey, somebody is buying his work so maybe its just me who has it wrong.
Heres some of Fragment Designs other collaborations:
The bottom line should be that by all means make colourways, because variety of colour is a good thing, but please dont charge us the earth for them :(
Still SMH.... Share or oppose my opinion? please add your comments below.
With that Iron Man 2 trailer right around the corner, i felt like drawing him :D. I`ve always had trouble drawing Iron Man before because drawing his armour is kinda tricky for me but here, i think i nailed it (^_^)b. Instead of using Granov's or the movie's armour, i went for my favourite from the armoury, the Modular Armour. A little work can still be done on this drawing but im considering adding more to it. maybe i could be cheap; copy, paste, flip horizontal and have him back to back with war machine?
Ya know, when Planet Hulk started, i was really hyped for it. But Planet Hulk, along with student finance and all that Skrull Invasion Bullsh*t made me stop reading Marvel Comics.
Heres the basic story, The Illimunati (Stark, Professor X, Dr Strange, Black Bolt and Namor) trick Hulk into going into outer space and then blast him as far away as possible. Where he ends up, he is prophecised as being either the man who will break or make that world. Fights as a gladiator, takes over the place, vows to get back home and f*ck up the Illuminati. Well, things dont end so great :p
For me, i enjoyed the previous Hulk DVD (Hulk Vs) so im pretty sure ill like this one too and it seems to cover the part of the Planet Hulk story that i actually liked.
There was no sign of it, but i do hope they keep the Silver Surfer appearance from the original comics in there :D
In his latest "Cup O' Joe" interview, Marvel Comics' Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada expanded on earlier comments on his added responsibilities for creative input for Marvel's animation and movie projects, saying "I suspect that my involvement will be on creating new concepts, reviewing proposals, scripts, art and so on." He also relayed the news that BET's Black Panther animated series will be delayed, according to executive producer Reggie Hudlin, because "The series is now covering in more material than was in the original six issues, which has caused some production delays." Hudlin added that it will not debut this year as originally planned.
Black Panther trailer:
This trailer is actually quite humorous. In other words, it looks a bit sh*t lol
*About to start any minute and they're putting up the signs of who is on-hand for the presentation. The people who are closer by can actually read them and they were cheering as each name was revealed. We're too far back, even in the reserved press section, to see the names.
*Place is going insane and people are still looking for seats and even the reserved section has no seats left. Here's hoping it lives up to all the hopes, dreams and expectations!
*Moderator Scott Mantz is being booed by the crowd.
*Kevin Feige just came out and was asked how they were going to raise the bar, and he responded that he does it by bringing him out first. (ha ha)
*Huge round of applause and a lot of people standing for John Favreau, who comes out to the tune of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man." "You don't know how much we've been looking forward to this. Nobody cared before we came here two years ago!"
*They just showed a splash reel teaser for the movie that was kind of lame but Robert Downey Jr. just walked out and is giving Favreau a hard time about the crappy footage they just showed. Favreau is giving excuses that they just finished a week ago and that the FX aren't ready. Favreau says it's his son Max's birthday and the audience is half-heartedly singing "Happy Birthday" to him... they're really juicing it before showing footage.
*Going to take a little time to write up the footage we just saw... the crowd is going NUTS! We got to see Mickey Rourke's Whiplash in action, as well as Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow.... and holy crap... WAR MACHINE!!!!!!
*Sam Rockwell is here... so is Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle... will start writing up the footage while the moderator asks them dumb questions. First question is to Favreau how to make it bigger and better, but we think he's delivered.
*Footage opened with Iron Man without his helmet sitting in a giant donut on top of the donut shop (which we've seen in early pictures). We see the back of Sam Jackson's head as Nick Fury calls Tony Stark to "Come down from the donut" and the next scene shows the two of them talking inside the donut shop, continuing the conversation that began in the ending scene in the first "Iron Man" about him possibly putting together a group of heroes.
*The second scene takes place in a courtroom where Tony Stark is being grilled by Senator Stern played by Gary Shandling, who is trying to find out why Tony Stark has a specialized weapon that he's not sharing with the government. We get the same sort of sass and gumption we saw from Downey's Stark in the first movie and hopefully we'll have time to share some of the funnier bits. The scene ends with them calling Col. James Rhoads and we get our first look at Don Cheadle in his role replacing Terrence Howard as he comes out and has a few words with Stark, as it's apparent that the former friends are now on opposite sides of the fence.
*The third scene introduces Mickey Rourke as Whiplash and unfortunately, the voice over was hard to understand because of his thick Russian accent, but we can see him sitting at a workbench working on something that is revealed to be a similar chest plate as Iron Man's. We then get to see Whiplash in his full costume (similar to the picture that was released a few weeks ago) and he's whipping these insane energy whips on the ground sending up sparks. That leads into a shot of Iron Man flying through the air and the logo, which everyone thought was going to be it...but nope!!
*The last bit is the first look at Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer walking up to the original Iron Man armor lying on a table and asking what it is to which he's told that it's classified by Cheadle and a general with him. Hammer then starts pulling out all sorts of weapons to retrofit on the armor and Cheadle says "I think I'll take it... ALL OF IT" and sure enough, we then see our first look at the retrofitted Iron Man armor
*Favreau was very political about whether he might direct The Avengers because he's been so busy making Iron Man 2, but he says that he's been seeing Thor come together and liked what he's been seeing.
*They were asked about working with Mickey Rourke to which Downey Jr. said "I thought I was eccentric" then passed it onto Rockwell who works with him more in the movie. Rockwell was giving his usually short answers but mentioned "smoking a few cigarettes" with Mr. Rourke. Favreau is talking about the origins of the new Whiplash character and how Rourke went into a Russian prison to get into the character after hearing that his character had spent time in one. Downey made a joke about how Rourke's "9 1/2 Weeks" was one of the first movies shown in Russia after the fall of the Wall and said "Where else do you want to go when you're a sex symbol in Russia but a Russian prison." (rimshot)
*Favreau says that they're not doing the "Demon in a Bottle" storyline and won't be going that dark even though they'll be going further into the character and how his decision is affecting his life and the people around him.
*Scarlett Johansson is telling about the training she went into and why she wanted to do as much of the stunts as she could.
*Just showed the footage again and it looked just as impressive as the footage shown two years ago.
*Incidentally, there have now been two shout-outs to Moon, one by the moderator and one to a guy asking questions who said Rockwell should get an Oscar nomination.
*Don Cheadle has been asked how much of Terrence Howard's performance influenced his own, to which Cheadle responded that he tried to make the character his own although he admits to being a "vampire" who takes something from everyone. There are a lot of questions for Don Cheadle, though most of them are pretty lame.
*Someone just asked how Bob Layton's work on the comic has influenced the movie and Layton is being brought up on stage, and he's talking about being invited on stage and he says that he was really proud of the first movie and thinks the new one will "knock your socks off."
*Sadly, the panel is over very quickly... faster than anyone hoped. I'll be writing up a more detailed description of the footage right after the panel is over so check back in about a half hour or so and we'll have some more about the footage and some quotes from the panel.

I always wondered if Capcom would ever make street fighter games 2d again. I really hoped so because honestly, i wasnt impressed with Street Fighter 4. However i will settle for rereleases of some of the finest from the Street Fighter catalogue and Capcom are bringing Marvel Vs Capcom 2 to the xbox live arcade and playstation home store in HD. (heard the release has been pushed back to August now :( ) It was recently announced that a soundtrack would be released featuring hip hop artists with tracks inspired by the game itself. Kotaku posted up the sweet ass artwork and artist list for the cd today. Cant wait to see what Qbert,E40 & co. are gonna do with this one lol.
Talib Kweli Raekwon Hieroglyphics DJ QBert E40 & Droopy The Grouch & Eligh Havoc & NYCE OhNo PlanetAsia MC Supernatural DJ Toure Random
The soundtrack is gonna be a free download. does that mean its not gonna be that great.?the cover alone is enough for me :p
sorry for the stupid post title, its a parody for those who dont know :p
Honestly, i dont hate BAPE. I just think that nigo`s creative well dried up a long time ago so its probably a good job that he resigned his position eaerlier this year then. Well, you would think so, but it seems they are just gonna continue to make variations of milo, new colourways and hey they are finding more ways to rip off Planet Of The Apes. (^_^)b C`mon! SMH
I never visited any Bape stores before (we tried eh Mats?) but if its anything like the Ice Cream store in Harajuku then expect to get mean mugged while you browse through a very limited range of over expensive merchandise. still SMH
Ok for anyone viewing this through the website (johnjfreeze.com), you have probably noticed that a lot of it doesnt really work yet, but im working on it :p. I should probably use this first post to set out the aim of this blog which is:
-first of all, i dont wanna bore you with too much boring crap about my personal life especially as its definitely not worth blogging about so anything i write about myself will hopefully be of some interest.
-i`ll talk about various things i`m interested in like comic books, art, kicks, music etc etc.
-I move to Japan later this year for my studies and so i`ll use this blog to tell you what life is like in Japan for me. Doing this, i`ll probably tell you all about weird things i`ve seen and the bizzarre things you can eat and drink over there (cucumber pepsi anyone?). I wouldn`t tell you about what i`ve been eating lately as nobody wants to hear about how much i like peanut butter w/ banana sandwiches and cheerios :D
-finally, the most important aim of the blog is to promote myself as an artist. yeah yeah im still not even that good but i think im good enough to work on some stuff more professionally now and i`m always trying to break into the industry somehow. i feel its so close! so i wanna use this blog to promote others` work, as well as my own promotions and collaborations with other artists.
the blog looks like crap at the moment but the site is looking hot so please check it out @ www.johnjfreeze.com. both will come correct soon enough
so try to stay with me on this one. i hope you`re gonna like it (^_^)b
