Deadpool Movie Updates

Some official confirmations from Rob Liefeld's (creator of Deadpool) twitter:

“Great Deadpool movie meeting! Lauren Schuler Donner and her team are headed in the right direction!”

“Deadpool movie checklist- DP in costume-check! Breaking 4th wall-check! Loads of killing-double check!”

“Deadpool movie- YES! Ryan Reynolds is on board!!!”

“Also excited to discuss possibilities of Cable in future X-films!!!”

Cable :O !!!!!!!!! Honestly, this all sounds too good to be true but im really hoping that the fact that we have fanboys working on the project means that FOX might finally get one of the X-movies right :D.
The whole Cable thing could be so good for the franchise fi they do it right (^_^)b

Kanji: The war may be lost, but we aint goin' down without a fight!!

You can probably guess which pile is which :s but at least it is, improving?

Stocks

A couple of people have been asking me lately about stocks so i decided to write a little about what i know and what i try to do which seems to have worked for me so far. I will also make this post as short and simple as possible so that i dont confuse people with my terrible grammatical style :s

Ok so there are numerous ways to make money in stocks.

Long investments
invest in a relatively safe company for a long period of time until you are ready to sell. You might see an opportunity arising in a companies future. Something which is going to bring the company significant guaranteed success. A good example of this was the iphone and Marvel (MVL) announcing the creation of Marvel Studios. These two were guaranteed winners and there was no doubt that they were going to have a strong foothold in their new respective markets. The iphone comes out, "Iron Man" is released and hey presto, you see big gains. Marvel is another good example of a long investment as most of us are not insiders and we usually have no idea when a buyout is going to happen. Even when we do, its usually just a rumour that might never come into fruition. So if you had long invested in Marvel when the buyout from Disney (DIS) happened recently, you would have been very happy that you long invested in Marvel.

Short Investments
Buy and sell as soon as there is a reasonable profit in the company/companies. I personally dont like to short my stocks because it always seems to happen that i would sell too early and make much less than i could have if i had waited or long invested. But then again, there is a lot of money to be made in short investments if you have good knowledge of the markets and industries you are investing in so that you are constantly making small profits here and there adding up to even larger amounts than you could have seen while long investing in companies.

My reccomendation
Who to invest in?
I try to look into markets i have knowledge in already as a consumer and am interested in. Video game markets are a place that i would often watch and sometimes invest in. Try reading some trade sites like Yahoo Finance. There are many sites out there that offer financial news and views from analysts but Yahoo Finance encompasses all of this in the "headlines" section of every stock page. Try going there and check out Marvel`s page and you will see the "headlines" section along with detailed information about the company and graphs to look at the company`s past performance as well as the current Real-Time Market price.
I think its also a good idea to watch financial programmes or channels on tv like Bloomberg. They offer a lot of insight and i have seen them give some good hints about companies to invest in.
Also, try talking to another friend who is interested in similar markets/companies. I found that having discussions with Mats about things like what we thought were potentially good investments and buyout rumours makes the whole thing even more interesting and helps both of you increase your market awareness. It also makes Stocks fun! ^_^

How to invest
In terms of what type of investment to make (long/short), i like to go with a combination of both. I would probably long invest the majority of my money in a seemingly safe company and the remaining money i would short. In this way, if you make any big errors on your short money, you still have your long investment safe. The great thing about trusting in long investments is also that they can quickly become short investments! You could invest in a company tomorrow, expecting to sell in 6 months time when they are at a reasonable price for you, and that company could get bought out the following week which usually results in a nice rise in the share price.

I wont try to pretend that i am some kind of expert on stocks and honestly, i still dont understand a lot of the ridiculous terms that analysts use. For those people who didnt have a clue about stocks and thought it was something they would never really be able to comprehend other than seeing a bunch of numbers, there really isnt that much more to stocks other than what i have outlined here. But if you are thinking of chasing stocks then i wish you the best of luck! (^_^)b.

Any questions? please ask!

Kanji: How Screwed Are You Really?

Studying Japanese at university, you hear a lot of people tell you that they are "screwed" in regards to how much kanji they know/dont know. However, i really am screwed! Ill just show what i discovered today when i went through all the year 2 kanji and year 1 spring kanji:

The following photo shows two seperate piles. To the left are kanji cards from Year 1 Spring and to the right are kanji cards from all of Year 2. Bear in mind that there are quite a lot because its not just simply a single kanji but also any combinations that we are supposed to know too.

Lets see how much i know!...... (^v^)b

:`(p_q)`:

FACK! Look at the size of that pile on the right!!!! I know that i have been lazy in not doing any kanji all summer but im glad i finally did this so i can see how screwed i really am. I think that i can knock that "dont know" pile down by at least a quarter because there are some that i know but just needed a refreshing look. I have to do my kanji every day now, extensively so that i can make up for it. I have nobody to blame but myself

And i really hope this is of use to somebody! (^_^)b

Byeong-Hun Lee signed up for GI Joe 2 & 3!

Source
"Top star Lee Byeong-Heon is in the new Hollywood film, "G.I. Joe 2"!

He will be starting the filming by the end of this year and has been contracted for the 3rd sequel, also!"

Its a bit of a shame that one of Korea's best actors (imo) could possibly have the first 3 films in his attempt to crossover into hollywood be all GI Joe movies because, they are pretty stupid and dont really showcase his skills.

But Yaaaay Storm Shadow is back! :D

Music: Mick Boogie/Peter Bjorn & John - "Stay This Way" (DJ Jazzy Jeff Remix) (feat. Big Pooh, Chaundon & Phil Nash)

Hottest song out right now IMO. It's cool to see Jeffs name in rotation again, i dont think he`s put any albums out in a while now and the video is pretty cute too :D even though it could have been done a lot better.

And if you didnt like this track? Your stereo system must be rubbish! :p

You can download the entire mixtape (which is actually not bad (^_^)b) and some of Mick Boogies other mixtapes for free over at mickboogie.com.

I take back all the bad things i ever said about Kanye West because I laughed my ass off!! And all the Booo's from the audience too! Haha! From Skeletor to Kanye, you gotta love the bad guy :D

But dont act like Kanye was the first to do it:

Skyy Johns comments on the evening were pretty funny too, especially the end. "Alright mother****as......" lol!

Food: Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich Masterclass

Seriously, i get emails every day asking me "Jonny how do you make a peanut butter & banana sandwich to perfection" and today, im gonna ask that question that has plagued man for eternity.

Ingredients:
  • 2 slices of bread,(or 3, 4 etc depending on how many stacks!)White is best.
  • Sun-Pat Peanut Butter (preferrably smooth and no cheap brands cos they are for losers.
  • 1 Banana
Start off by getting your bread ready. You dont even need butter because butter is for suckers! just go ahead and start spreading that Peanut Butter all over one slice of bread until you get this:

Notice how i`ve done it? I make sure it spreads all the way to the edges so that even eating the crusts is great. What i do is i eat the crust areas first, sorta like rotarily eating the sandwich and then i eat the middle area. Notice how the middle area is spread thicker than the outer area? That makes the finale even better!!

Now you can start slicing the banana. Be sure not to slice it too thick or else you get a lumpy lookin sandwich and bits of banana are prone to fall out. Go ahead and place them however you like, trying to cover every inch of it as best as you can but more than one banana will spoil the mix. Do this until you have something that looks like this:

And then carefully put the other piece of bread on the wrong way round because nobody likes a conformist. And hey presto, you just made the best sandwich ever!!!

Bah! Just Wanna go to Japan already!

>:(

And also, this blog doesn't get enough hits isn't interesting enough. Time to add some keywords and see how many people i can trick! Megan Fox Sex Tape! Download Here For Free!!!

Music/Anime: One Piece - Surely we are due a new intro theme already?

While I dont hate the latest One Piece theme "Share The World" im really starting to get a bit fed up of it and lets be honest, it doesnt quite fit the show does it? I was looking at episode numbers today and how they coincide with a new opening theme. It seems after around 40-50 episodes we should get a new one. This puts us at 45 episodes since we had a new intro so i think we can expect something is coming around the corner. Nothing beats the Folder 5 opening song though :p Listening to it, i guess this is what its like to be on drugs?

Folder 5 - "Believe In Wonderland"

Mats, catch up! and Pete, stop running off ahead! :p

Journey To Yokohama Part II: More Preparation

Visa
Went to London last week to pick up my certificate of eligibility. Honestly, i was expecting the embassy to be a bit more fun but the security guards were really miserable and raised their voice when i forgot to take some scissors out of my bag.
Lucy will pick up my visa for me sometime next week (^_^)b

Packing:
Mats has a decent little list on what to remember when visiting Japan. Its good that others went early and can make all the mistakes that hopefully we will learn not to make when we get there :p. I did a test run of clothes packing yesterday to see if i knew which clothes i was gonna take with me and how much it would take up in my luggage. I also picked up a new jacket from River Island and am now wondering if i should take an extra pair of Jeans.
Started to make a list of stuff that i need to take/think about taking with me and it just keeps getting bigger :s.

Student Tutor:
Upon arrival at Yokohama, we are supposed to be greeted by "Student Tutors". Basically these guys are people that have been paid to help you out really and i was told by one of the teachers at YNU that i should email my tutor and arrange with her when im arriving. Well, i did that a week and a half ago and she still hasn't replied to me. Apparently, we do need them on that first day as we have to get through some very important stuff. I dont really feel like emailing her again but i hope she will get in touch soon because i like to be prepared.

17 days to go.........

Peter Hong`s Blog & Mats In Kyoto - New Blog

My friend and classmate, Mats AKA Mad Mats AKA Bruce Banner, has arrived in Japan all the way from Swederlandz and started his own blog. What i find interesting is his restaraunt rating idea which i am going to steal when i get over there and start eatin up the place :p. Im sure he is bound to have some stories for us about disgruntled locals, strange drinks and signs with bad english/unintentionally hilarious drawings on them.

If he has something particularly interesting to say, ill post it up here and plug his blog in the process. Mats we can work hand in hand to gain more visitors and maybe some day we can compete with Peter and his "alleged" 100+ visitors a day.

Meanwhile, Peter, has a blog too where he confesses his love for Apple and himself on a regular basis. He blogs about art, fashion, music and his new hobby of photography. Its actually quite fun also to read about what he ate for dinner ;D

We`re like a long distance family now boys! (^_^)b

Movies: "2010 - The Year We Make Contact" Apprecation

The reason for all the space themed stuff on my site/blog? THIS movie. Even the astronaut man is modelled after the character of Dave Bowman and his astronaut suit. Just to get one thing out of the way first though, this movie does not have anything to do with a giant baby flying through space.

Story:
2010 is a sequel to the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey". I have never watched all of that movie and honestly, you dont even need to see it to enjoy 2010. The basic storyline is just that back on earth nobody knows what happened to the space shuttle that Dave Bowman & his crew took to Jupiter. With the obvious possibility that all crew are now dead, it might still be possible to obtain answers by investigating the ship and accessing the onboard computer, Hal 9000. As this movie was made during the cold war, tensions are high between America & Russia but somehow they come together to form an expedition for American scientists to join the Russians on a trip to Jupiter & discover something very big is about to happen up there.

The movie:
I really reccomend giving 2010 a try. It looks soooo old and rightfully it should for a movie that was made in 1983/1984 with predictions that by now we would all be living in houses full of big clunky buttons with dolphins for pets but if you give it a chance its a really relaxing movie with great scenes of dialogue, delivered by classy guys like Roy Scheider, that movies these days dont really have. This movie is a lot about what is said and how they say it. However, if you`re not prepared to give old movies a chance you really shouldnt bother because this film now looks really dated.

Space movies:
Does space not fascinate you? It fascinates the crap out of me! I love to watch movies about space where astronauts float about doing bugger all but with a sense of danger. I dont really like all that Star Wars stuff. As a kid, sure i loved it but it just seems kinda childish these days. Unless, we start to see Marvel make movies featuring their Cosmic characters, we only have to hope that Avatar will be worth the wait and hype. Otherwise, the last decent Space movie i saw was Sunshine which, despite some bits being slightly ridiculous, it gave you that feeling of "we are helluva far into space and we are facked!" that i love.

Korean Movie Mega Review! Chapter V: How I Spent My Summer :s

I "think" i'm about half way through this list by now. But hopefully its of use to those interested in Korean cinema :D

Oldboy (2003)
Drama/Mystery/Thriller
8.5/10

Do i really need to talk about Oldboy? Im sure everyone saw this movie by now and if you didn`t, you MUST see it!!!

Plot: Dude is locked up, without reason, for a long ass time in a home-made prison and upon his eventual release he seeks to find the reason why he was put in there.

My Boyfriend Is Type B (2005)
Comedy/Romance
8/10

A nice romantic comedy that doesnt take things too seriously and gives a bit of an insight into korean attitudes concerning parts of our biological make-up determining the type of person we are. It has "Psycho" (Yi Shin) in it too! :D

Plot: Girl dates a guy with type B blood, which apparently, is a bad thing.

My Sassy Girl (2001)
Comedy/Romance
7.5/10

The first time i saw this movie i really loved it but after watching it more than once i felt like this movie was just too long. I dont even remember what the run time is but it felt like a friggin lifetime. Kinda sad with a nice soundtrack.

Plot: Guy gets involved with a "sassy" girl. In other words, shes a bit annoying.

My Tutor Friend (2003)
Comedy/Romance
7.5/10

Cute Romcom with Haneul Kim, Its pretty funny.

Plot: Wealthy parents hire a personal tutor for their son who is a bit of a delinquent and gets crap grades.

Hot For Teacher/Who Slept With Her? (2006)
Comedy
7/10

I'd say for the first 1/3rd of this movie it was kinda boring but it starts to get really funny. I laughed out loud at some moments and the "Psycho" (Yi Shin) cameo was hilarious :D

Plot: Catholic school (i guess) hires a new teacher who is mega hot. Its suspected that she has slept with one of the students though and the grumpy-ass disciplinary teacher takes it upon himself to find the culprit.

Break Out (2002)
Action/Comedy
6/10

This movie made its point and dragged it out a little too long. Although, it did have some funny dialogue moments.

Plot: Some guy gets his lighter stolen and tries to get it back from the guy who took it that happens to be a gangster holding a train hostage.

Holiday (2006)
Action/Crime/Drama
6.5/10

Although the warden character was really well played, it felt out of place in this movie. Imagine a comic book villain in a movie that takes itself quite seriously. Afterall, it is based on quite a sensitive real story. But the characters in the movie each bring something different and overall it was quite entertaining.

Plot: 1988 Seoul Olympics and the reconstruction of the city that it brings leads to the death of a mans brother and his own imprisonment. Ji Kang Hyuk (Lee Song Jae), imprisoned for his actions during the "reconstruction" of his shanty town neighbourhood by the government, is again faced with the man who murdered his brother, now the prison`s warden. Along with a group of other inmates, they plot their escape.

Big Bang (2007)
Action/Comedy/Drama
6/10

The ending was waaaaay too long and they dragged that thing out like crazy. At that point the movie just felt like it had no real purpose. It had some funny moments but nothing special.

Plot: Guy gets arrested for urinating on a police station and then later escapes, with another criminal, causing all kinds of carnage around the city.

My Girl & I (2005)
Romance
4/10

The lowest rating yet! Honestly, i cant even say this is a bad film but it was just soooo booooooring!!! I really wanted to like this movie but couldnt like it enough.

Plot: Guy likes girl, girl is ill.

Venus & Mars (2007)
Comedy/Drama/Romance
4.5/10

Despite the fact that it has Kim Tae Hee (Hawt!) in it, this movie was boring. It didnt even seem to work, especially the two main actors who served as the most unconvincing couple/ex-couple ever. I would have given it a 4 but KTH was in it :p

Plot: Couple are divorced and they hate each other, fight a lot but of course, like idiots, there is still something in the air.

New entries to the list will be marked in RED. Also added to the list were scores from films that i had reviewed outside of the Mega Reviews (Death Bell & Breathless)

Korean Movie Review: Death Bell (2009)

"Death Bell" (2008)
Horror/Thriller
5/10
It lacked the "audience participation" factor that "Saw" had where you tried to work out ways for the person to get out of the trap in reasonably ok health and then realised.......nope, they are facked!.

Referred to online as "Battle Royale" meets "Saw". Sounds fucking awesome right?!?! If so, then you and i were both tricked except the difference is that I tricked YOU :p. Its actually not that awesome and only bears some small similarities to the two films mentioned earlier. The only thing it borrows from Battle Royale is the "xxxx hours, student xxxx deceased" and from Saw you only get the "solve this, or die" dilemma that has become kinda redundant thanks to the milking of the Saw franchise which has taken the :o factor out of that whole thing.

The basic plot is that all the schools best students have to take an extra class on the weekend for the purpose of a special test which results in them being abducted one by one and held at ransom to the rest of the class who must then solve the given question or have the abducted student die.

I think the most disappointing thing about the movie was that, because it is compared to the Saw movies, i was expecting scenarios where i could look at the situation that needed to be solved and stand some chance of either figuring it out myself....or not. At least in Saw you can assess the situation like "Ok, the guy is wired to the power supply, which becomes live in 3 minutes, by his testicles. Oh crap!........ hes gonna have to rip his testicles out!". Even though that's not a safe answer, it was the only answer and at least i was able to figure a way out of that mess (and into a bigger one). It lacked the "audience participation" factor that "Saw" had where you tried to work out ways for the person to get out of the trap in reasonably ok health and then realised.......nope, they are facked!.

I give this movie a 5/10 because even though it wasnt great, it wasnt completely crap either and it kept me mildly entertained.

My ratings of Korean movies so far:

  1. A Moment To Remember 9.5/10
  2. Humming 8.5/10
  3. A Man Who Was Superman 8/10
  4. Antique 8/10
  5. The Chaser 8/10
  6. Almost Love 7.5/10
  7. Daisy 7.5/10
  8. Lovers Concerto 7.5/10
  9. A Millionaire's First Love 7/10
  10. All For Love 7/10
  11. Hansel & Gretel 7/10
  12. He Was Cool 7/10
  13. Joint Security Area 7/10
  14. Maundy Thursday 7/10
  15. My Love 7/10
  16. Guns & Talks 6.5/10
  17. Ing 6.5/10
  18. More Than Blue 6.5/10
  19. Bungee Jumping Of Their Own 6/10
  20. My Scary Girl 6/10
  21. 200 Pounds Beauty 5/10
  22. A Tale Of Two Sisters 5/10
  23. April Snow 5/10
  24. Death Bell 5/10

Music: K-Pop

Some songs that i like. I tried to pick ones that are more recent though and not songs that are a bit old (but still awesome like SES!!! :D)

Shinee - Replay

2PM - Again & Again

Davichi - Love & War

SNSD - Genie (Tell Me Your Wish)

Hmm its probably more about the video than the song :p

2NE1 - I Dont Care

Mighty Mouth feat Hyuna & UEE - Love Class

the "oooh! oooh!" pisses me off though :s

T-Ara - Lies

Humming Urban Stereo - Hawaiian Couple

(yeah its not new but i only just heard it and its sooo nice :))

Korean pop music is great! and im ashamed not ashamed to say that i love it! :D I guess some of that lies in the fact that, unless something is being said in english in a very cheesy american accent, i cant understand a word of it. This assumption is due in contrast with my opinion that Japanese music has become crap and honestly, i haven`t heard a decent song come out of Japan in months! Is this because ive become more used to the Japanese language? I have no idea

But dont you think the Korean language sounds beautiful?

I did something very stupid......but managed to fix it (Part III)

So my tri-winged screwdriver arrived today, meaning i could finally have a crack at getting that SD card out of my nintendo. Lets have a look at what was going on inside...

"But where is the SD card?" you cant see it? Let me point it out for you then:

With the magic of an orange arrow and a better flash, we can see that he was playing peekaboo with me.

So case closed! The wii works completely fine minus some very minor damage when a strategy of brute force was applied.

Monday, 7 September 2009

I just did something very stupid......Part II

Bah!! damn Nintendo and their tri-wing screws. Gonna have to wait until my tri-wing screwdriver arrives in the post before i can take this bad boy apart. But seriously though, they made the Nintendo the way it is purposefully so that some idiot like me would accidentally put an SD card in the cd drive. I mean seriously it is waaaay deep inside the Nintendo right now.

Music: F*** Jay-Z?

Artists are starting to speak up about this whole D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune) shizzle.....and its a very good thing. Just recently even T-Pain saying "f*** Jay-Z". Its about time T-Pain grew some nuts and spoke up about it because he should take that song quite personally. The guy propelled his whole career off of that gimmick.

I have grown to hate Jay-Z over the years so i will admit straight away that this a very biased post but i feel im justified :p.
Did he honestly think he would get away with talkin smack on autotune? You bet your ass he did because he`s Jay-Z and people are forever on his d***. Some people are huggin onto his nuts so tight you can call them pubes.
At a time when everyone is experimenting with auto-tune and having fun with it, along comes Jigga to basically try and shit on everyones parade.
Its like this: imagine you were back in school when everyone was playin pokemons on their nintendos. Along comes Hova "Yo **** Pokemons". See what i mean? I think its a bit like that and its kinda like he hates on Pokemons because he either cant afford a game boy or he just isnt with it. Along with rumours that he tried to make an auto-tune record and it sucked, the whole D.O.A. thing just shows his age and the bitterness that has come along with it.

I just did something very stupid......

Without noticing, i inserted an SD card into the cd drive of my Nintendo.....................it is not coming back out. Am now in the process of finding a how-to on opening it up because that procedure is not quite so straight forward

Chinese Readying Mass Invasion Of Everywhere Using Homemade Shizzle

Global Domination isnt moving fast enough for these Chinese Farmers, who have taken matters into their own hands to kickstart the worldwide takeover.

Helicopters

From Gizmodo:
to an incredibly impressive 2,600 feet before Chinese authorities grounded him for "safety reasons." The rig, comprised of metal bars, a motorcycle engine and wooden rotors, cost him a mere $1,600. He has no formal aviation training, but still managed to assemble the rickety beast using a recollection of middle school physics courses and "relevant knowledge [found while] surfing the Internet via my mobile phone."

Airplanes

Submarines

Again from Gizmodo:
The rig cost Tao 30,000 yuan ($4,385) and two years to build, and includes a periscope and depth control tank. No mention of a sonar system, but knowing the Chinese farmers these days that DIY achievement has to be just a matter of time.

What`s Next?
:
You can possibly expect them to takeover space and build cardboard moon-bases all over the moon without any proper planning permission.

Conclusion:
It's time to start learning Chinese so that we are able to understand and speak the language of our overlords. So that we may be of some use to them and avoid being potential "human-fuel" for one of their super drills that go through the earth, made out of Legos

Korean Movie Mega Review! Part IV

Humming (2008)
Drama/Romance
8.5/10

I soooo enjoyed this movie! Its very sad too in the way that the girl treated her boyfriend and he really didnt appreciate until its too late.

Plot: Jerk doesn`t realise what he has until its gone :p

Ing (2003)
Romance
6.5/10

I didnt think this movie was so overly entertaining or sad as i had read it was in many reviews. Although, there is a little twist in it that was a really nice touch.

Plot: Sickly high school girl gets involved with the dude who moves in upstairs.

Joint Security Area (2000)
Drama/Thriller/War
7/10

It was cool to actually see what goes on up around the border between North & South Korea. Not to say that im assuming the happenings of the movie are everyday stuff but just to see what its like around there. Oh yeah and Byunghun Lee was great! again :p

Plot: Murder investigation on the border of North & South Korea involving soldiers from both sides.

Lovers Concerto (2002)
Drama/Romance
7.5/10

There is a part of the plot that kinda confused me in this movie. I laughed about it later but i think you will see what i mean if you see it. Shocked when i heard that one of the stars, EunJu Lee, committed suicide :(.

Plot: Love triangle....ish!

Maundy Thursday (2006)
Romance (i guess :s)
7/10

This movie, i guess was pretty much all about forgiveness. I thought this movie was quite effective though on getting you to think about forgiveness. Besides that, i cant really say much about the movie other than i did really enjoy it but felt that it went on a bit long.

Plot: Guy is in prison, Girl visits him. Its kinda like romance but feels more like a movie to teach you about forgiveness

More Than Blue (2009)
Romance
6.5/10

Honestly, i felt that this movie lacked a lot of emotion and so it really kinda dragged. The love between the two main characters is kinda difficult and i really didnt like the female lead at times. The scenes with Cat Girl were great though ;D

Plot: Dude loves girl, girl loves dude, they dont really say it though.

My Love (2007)
Comedy/Romance
7/10

You cant really go wrong with the love-actually formula it seems. I guess it kinda makes up for characters that dont have a lot of depth.

Plot: Multiple love stories all intertwining and rolled into one movie

My Scary Girl (2006)
Comedy/Drama/Romance
6/10

I was expecting the girl to be a little more crazy but it seems her problems were kinda justified. The movie was a lil boring at times though :s

Plot: Dude falls in love.....but she is a bit of a liablity.

Auto-Tune is getting out of hand

So yeah people are raping Auto-Tune now with this new iphone app out. SMH. Im not saying Autotune is a bad thing just that the industry is oversaturated with it right now and a lot of people aren't using it right. I wanna take this opportunity to school people on the grandaddy of auto-tune/synthesized voice/talkbox. I even used to know this song when i was a kid! But because i only heard it on the radio/cassette, i had no idea it was a guy singing. I actually was dumb young and naive enough to think that a robot actually made this song lol. One of my all time favourite songs ....ladies & gentleman, the late ,great Roger Troutman. RIP

I was always under the impression that he invented the talkbox but even if he didn't, he was the first to really kill it!

Kicks: Reebok Court Victory Pump II - Miami Vice Edition

I absolutely love this colourway/Miam Vice theme

Another one to add to the list of Kicks i would have bought but never had the money for :(. Need to start tradin' a lot harder :p

Iron Man 2 in 3D?

Ain't It Cool News is reporting the rumor that Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios are considering releasing Iron Man 2 in 3D format, and possibly the first Iron Man as well. Here's an except from the article:

Right now, there is a 1 minute demo of IRON MAN 2 converted to high quality digital 3D. I'm told this one minute is totally like Kim Basinger & Mickey Rourke in 9 1/2 WEEKS. HOT! Crazy Hot! Right now the Suits at Marvel & Paramount & now also Disney are considering this 1 minute.

At the same time that this is happening, they are fishing for bids with 3 different companies to see what the cost and time it would take to convert IRON MAN 2 to a complete 3D film. This same process is being done to Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND - but if this comes to pass. What will this mean for the rest of Marvel's slate leading to THE AVENGERS? Will THOR & CAPTAIN AMERICA also go through this process? Or will they be shot from the get go in 3D.

I dunno, this sounds great but i was stupid enough to go see Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3D and honestly, i would much rather have watched that movie without 3d glasses. Actually no, i wish i had never seen that movie at all but you catch my drift im sure :p
Ill try to see it without 3D first and then try it out if they go ahead with it. I guess we can thank Disney for making this a possibility though (^_^)b

Fantastic Four Reboot Coming

Variety reports that 20th Century Fox has begun overhauling the "Fantastic Four" movie franchise to take the Marvel property beyond the two films already made.

Akiva Goldsman has been hired to oversee the reboot as producer. Michael Green, the co-exec producer of TV's "Heroes" who co-wrote Green Lantern, will write the script for the new Fantastic Four film.

The 2005 Fantastic Four and 2007 sequel "Rise of the Silver Surfer" were directed by Tim Story and starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. Since the deals for the reboot are just getting made, it is unclear if any of them will return.

Fox controls the "Fantastic Four" movie franchise in perpetuity -- as long as it continues making the films. Marvel is a producer and financial participant through a licensing agreement.
SMH :s

Korean Movie Mega Review! Part III

The Chaser (2008)
Drama/Action
8/10

Its no surprise that this movie was picked up by hollywood. Apparently based on a true story. Pretty scary!

Plot: A pimp looks into the disappearances of his girls and aims to track down the guy responsible.

Daisy (2006)
Drama/Romance
7.5/10

Thought this was a pretty cool twist on the traditional love triangles played out in movies. Woosung Jung is great in this movie as he usually is. His name is a little tricky to remember (i have this problem with korean names :s) but for me he will always be the "moment to remember guy" :p

Plot: Dangerous love triangle involving a street artist, a cop and an assassin

Guns & Talks (2001)
Action/Drama/Comedy
6.5/10

Nice, fun movie that has the weird guy out of Stairway to Heaven and Won Bin in it :D

Plot: Group of assassins who live together, work together

Hansel & Gretel (2007)
Drama/Fantasy/Horror
7/10

I would have given the movie a 6 because it wasn't overly entertaining but it gains an extra point just for the overall look of the movie. Soooo colourful! and it had a nice twist on the classic Hansel & Gretel story.

Plot: guy gets lost in a country road, meets a mysterious girl and is led to her fairytale-like house in the middle of the forest. Weird stuff is going on

He Was Cool (2001)
Comedy/Romance
7/10

This movie has a stupid title dont you think? Anyways, it was pretty funny and very cute :D

Plot: Tough guy gets his first kiss stolen by a girl, gives her a bit of a hard time about it.
