I have so many files of unfinished drawings on my computer. Sometimes i really hate going through them though because they are usually not very good :s. Other times, i do come across something rather pleasing like this hammerhead shark drawing which i did. Im probably never gonna use this so i thought id just tidy it up a bit and put it online.

I was going to keep this one under wraps actually but it seems i havent really posted any proper artwork in quite some time. I want to make this one of my t shirt designs actually but im always wondering wether or not other people will agree with me. Personally, i think its great for a t shirt and my expectation is that other people will feel the same. Obviously the colours might change once its put into printing process. I just gave it the soviet look for now.

I made this image using 3 of my own existing artworks. I used the Giant Squid vs Godzilla drawing, the new coffee logo and an old drawing of a missile to create it. Im starting to wonder what else i can put together from looking at my old designs. I dont have much time lately to really draw new stuff but i think my back catalogue of artworks, when combined, could make for some interesting designs. Thats two major designs pretty much secured. I definitely have more work to do

Korean Movie #86: 'The Housemaid' (2010)

I havent had much time lately even for watching Korean movies but finally i got around to watching one, so here is the next one....

'The Housemaid' (2010)

The movie itself is about a newly employed housemaid who starts a relationship with the man of the house. Can anything good really come from that? Of course not. Just look at the poster above and you will get a good feeling for the overall movie. I guess it actually does quite a good job of explaining the movie without even a trailer.

I wont say too much about it, mostly because i wasnt particularly struck by the movie overall but also because of my inability to write something of a decent review when it comes to movies, ive chosen to refrain from doing so. What i will say is that overall the movie was good but nothing too special. If anything the whole style of the movie is excellent and does a great job in persisting with the overall tone. Its like being in a room with others and having a bad vibe lingering in the air. Yet that feeling never leaves. Something is definitely wrong in the house.

Will we ever get to see Marvel rightfully reclaim its properties?

Respectable news sites are reporting some of the talks going on behind the scenes at Disney concerning the re-acquisition of Marvel franchises owned by Sony and Fox. Its a pretty interesting and slightly worrying read:


There are four Marvel franchises that Disney does not control and word is they want them back. Three are controlled by 20th Century Fox and one by Sony.

Insiders are telling IESB Disney would love to get Fantastic Four back under their control and that this series, above all, fits the Disney mold the best being the first superhero family.

While Daredevil isn't considered a first tier character, the Mouse House wants Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil back under the control of Marvel Entertainment.

Disney will never and I mean never, ever, not in a 100 years, get this property back under the control of Marvel Entertainment, just not going to happen. Fox owns all of these properties for perpetuity, in other words, for-ev-ver....for-ev-ver...

Word on the street is Fox has made it very clear that they will not let go of any of the properties under their control for any live action medium.

We've also been told that if it ever came to the point where they were going to lose any property they own because of failing to have a movie in production, they would simply produce a low budget, straight-to-DVD feature and stick it in any theater to fulfill their theatrical release clause.

So what about Sony's Spider-Man franchise? Same thing as the Fox deal, the contracts protect the studio 100% but they do have to continue to make movies with the Marvel characters on a regular basis. Spider-Man is not going anywhere, that also includes Venom.

Bottom line, the Sony and Fox contracts are rock solid. They will both keep their respective properties under their control. But you can be sure because they have plenty of money to spend, Disney will still have those Mickey Mouse lawyers looking for a loop hole....and to that I say, good luck!

Its a shame that the likelihood of Fox and Sony continuing to dirty the names of the afore-mentioned characters seems very certain. Look forward to a united universe without some of its heavyweights. SMH

Iron Man - Tron Armour

Marvel put out a bunch of Tron styled Character Posters/Covers recently. They tried the same with a bunch of different characters but the only one that really worked, in my opinion, was Iron Man. I quite like it :D

On another note, Disney just bought the release rights for Avengers and Iron Man 3 from Paramount v(^_^)v

Well, i think it was about time i updated this thing. Not only in style and artwork but because i dont live in Yokohama anymore, its time to let go, or something like that. Anyway, i created a new logo for the site. Whaddya think? Im really happy with everything, despite the fact that it could all probably look so much better. Anime: Iron Man

*UPDATE*
So here are my thoughts.....
this first episode was garbage! Seriously it felt like nothing but talk was going on and in the end, in terms of action, (spoiler alert, highlight text to read) all we got was basically iron man vs iron man in yet ANOTHER stolen Stark tech storyline. Not an interesting show at all and this is coming from a guy who gets hyped just at the mere mention of Iron Man. Not even a snazzy theme song to go with it. Rushed out piece of crap.

Having said that, im probably still gonna watch it lol
