Looking back @ 2010

well, 2010 is almost over and yet there are still no moon bases and no phaser guns. Scientists are certainly slacking!!

As An Artist

But for me, in terms of my artwork, i think ive had a great year and easily my best year yet! I took a look back at all of my work this year and it has gone through some massive changes. Ive really started to move away from drawing other peoples characters and ideas to finally being able to show some of my own and finding great ways to express them. Ive also managed to acquire some photoshop skills to really make my artwork come to life. Im so excited for what i might produce in 2011! As the year closes in 2010, im working on t shirt designs, some design proposals to promote myself as a professional artist and im even working on my own book! I know, i didn't really explain any details about the book on here yet so.....

The Book

The book is something of an art portfolio/story book. Of course, the book is a story but the intention is more about showing my art work. There are moments in the book which show hints at other art works and characters/ideas i have created and will expand upon in the future. At the moment, im slowly working on each page and trying to find a decent company to get my book manufactured with. Right now though, im not really big enough to expect anyone to come shake my hand and help me sell this thing so for now, i gotta do this on my own but ill surely find a way to get it out there. Id love to know if anyone out there would be interested in buying a book from me...

T-Shirt Designs

im still trying to make designs which are worthy of being printed onto t shirts and still trying to find a company cheap enough to print my shirts with. Of course, its easy to find companies who can do it at a very cheap price but i dont really want to sacrifice quality. Im not trying to sell someone a poor quality product. If i wanted to do that, i would already have started selling them with whatever drawings i have and with low quality manufacturing and nobody wants that.

I dont want to talk too much about how things have gone for me personally this year because overall, i had one of the best years of my life and met some amazing people!! Of course, some bad things happened but its important to overcome those and ive managed to put them behind me :D

Thats all from me for 2010, ill be back in 2011, hopefully with some new artwork and an even bigger passion and belief in myself than before. I really want to take myself as far as i can and id love if you would support me on my way! :D

I was looking through all my old artworks and felt like making something new based on the Lagertron idea. So i decided to design a concept store for Chanel, based on that character. Think about the giant Gundam which was constructed in Tokyo's bay area (Odaiba) and you will see where im going with this.

Whilst not on a Saw level of violent, 'I Saw The Devil' was still very violent. Min Sik Choi playing the usual scumbag here with Lee Byung Hun playing his usual 'i gotta get revenge and be really upset about it' (not saying thats a bad thing. its DEFINITELY a good thing :D) role. Together, they work pretty well and although its a typical Korean revenge thriller, it does dare to be a little different and cheeky at times.

Its always great to see a film that dares to be weird, so without ruining the trend, Kim Ki Duk delivers 'Time'. Its a pretty messed up movie in terms of the plot, which i wont go into in case i spoil something but its clever, sad, weird, very weird.

The basic idea of a boxer who was around in the 1930s-1940s calld Charles Witwhistle. Because of his freakish size and strength, his international boxing license is revoked but fortunately gets a job working for the government punching incoming asteroids.

K-Drama: ATHENA

Starts December 13th (of course, a little later for the subs to be released :s) but man, i cant wait!! I have watched IRIS, through to completion, a total of 3 times now and it gets me every time. Im even tempted to run through IRIS again over the winter holidays :D
