Learning how to lock doors and open new ones. This is what 2011 was for me....
I had one of the best years of my life, though sadly bidding farewell to my life as a university student. In that sense, the end of 2011 feels more like the end of 4 years. I met some amazing people, I travelled and experienced things I never could have imagined. I even grew my hair back for the first time in many years :D. Now, I'm living in Tokyo, I have a degree in Business & Japanese and I've come to really love and appreciate the person that I have become and everything that brought me to this day.
Quitting my job at Royal Mail and entering University was the best thing I ever did.
I want to thank everyone who supported me and all the people who have helped me and befriended me along the way.
-2012
What's in store for 2012? Well, nothing is certain but I'm excited and optimistic that 2012 and beyond is gonna be great.
Will I keep this blog? definitely. I don't know if it is much use for anyone else but I enjoy having this blog so I can reflect; speak my mind, share my interests and post up my artwork. Speaking of which, I have improved soooo much! I'm still writing the story for my picture book in my head and some day I will definitely make it. I really want people to enjoy the story/characters I have created. I've even been watching the discovery channel a lot recently and it has really helped me to develop the story and add some new ideas.
It's a story that is so close to my heart.
-Best of the best
Favourite movie this year? easy....
How about favourite song too? no problem....
Does 2012 sound futuristic enough to you yet? I'm excited...
I'm back with my Korean movie list!! which I really hope is useful for somebody out there. Please remember that these are just based on my opinion and that criticisms are welcome but negative comments are not :p.
And so here is the first update since August.....
'Sector 7 (2011)' (4.5/10)
'Phungsan Dog(2011)' (7/10)
'Frontline (2011)' (6.5/10)
'Beast & Beauty (2005)' (7/10)
'Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp (2010)' (4/10)
Notes:
Sector 7 - It had Ha Ji-Won in it, so I REALLY wanted this movie to be good, but alas, it was rubbish :(
Beast & Beauty - Shin Min Ah was adorable and this movie was a decent romantic comedy. I feel like this movie applied the formula that has been effective in Korean rom-coms for so many years.
I have also re-jiggied the list to express further reflections and repeated viewings of some of the movies in the list.
